Photo: Ms. McAllisterHello! I am Jane McAllister, a special education teacher in the lower red house. I am excited to be teaching at Friendly Hills Middle School.

I graduated from St. Catherine's College with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I earned my Master's Degree in Special Education from California State University at San Bernardino and certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of St. Thomas. I have Minnesota teaching licenses in the following areas: Education K-6, Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Developmental Cognitive Disorders mild/moderate (DCD), and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). I have taught regular education and special education for 19 years. My true passion is to motivate students to achieve to their highest potential.

I live in South Saint Paul with my husband and daughter. We have two dogs, Franklin and Pepper and a cat, Penny. Franklin looks forward to the days when he is allowed to come to school with me. He loves it when students read stories to him and take him for walks.
