School LunchTo celebrate National School Lunch Week, Friendly Hills Middle School, Heritage E-STEM Magnet School and Henry Sibley High School will serve special lunch menus Oct. 14-16. To keep with the national theme of "Across the U.S.," our schools will feature classic foods from different regions of the United States each day. 

Monday, Oct. 14: New England's finest
Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich
Apple slices
Hot vegetable choice
Low fat or fat free milk

Tuesday, Oct. 15: Southern Comfort Food
Baked chicken
Cornbread
Broccoli
Choice of peaches or oranges
Low fat or fat free milk

Wednesday, Oct. 16: Hawaiian Luau
Hawaiian seasoned chicken
Brown rice
Sweet potato fries
Choice of tropical fruit (pineapple, cantaloupe, mango, papaya)
Low fat or fat free milk

National School Lunch Week is an initiative of the School Nutrition Association. While the nation will be celebrating the whole week, Minnesota schools will celebrate Oct. 14-16 since schools are closed Oct. 17 and 18 for the Minnesota Department of Education Teachers Convention.
